Overview

gamescom is the largest trade fair and event highlight for interactive games and entertainment. It is held annually since 2009 in the media and event city Cologne, Germany. The conceptual fundaments of gamescom consist of an efficient and comfortable business area, an entertainment area for the ultimate gaming and fun experience and the gamescom festival in the centre of Cologne to attract new target groups. As the only event of its kind, gamescom links the entire value-added chain, from developers, publishers and the trade all the way down to consumers, while stimulating discussion forums at every level.

The entire games world will present itself to the public at gamescom, the leading B2B entertainment trade fair in Europe and beyond. In 2010 plenty of innovations in games software and important hardware news are expected, as well as hundreds of world, European or German premieres. Celebrate the games with us.

gamescomAs a trade visitor, you have access to the business and entertainment area from August 18 to 22, 2010. A special highlight awaits you on August 18, when you can visit the entertainment area (Halls 6-9) undisturbed in a professional atmosphere with members of the trade and the media before it is opened to the public. Please note that the business area is not open on Sunday, August 22, 2010.

Public Visitor Hours

gamescomThe next gamescom will be open from August 18 to 22, 2010.
Open for everyone: August 19 to 22, 2010.

gamescom's spectacular entertainment area (Halls 6 – 9) and the walk-through Hall 10 will be open to all visitors from August 19 – 22, 2010.
August 18 is exclusively for trade visitors and the media and gamescom is not open to the public on this day.

A visit to gamescom is particularly worthwhile for trade visitors. No where else do so many insiders, dealers, publishers and developers gather together as in Cologne. gamescom is optimally organized to receive trade visitors: The relaxed and exclusive ambience of the business area gives you the opportunity to take advantage of the trade fair for your personal business success.

Entertainment Area (public area)

You can expect breathtaking indoor and outdoor performances, sensational live acts and the latest highlights from the world of games. Be there, when the sector's Top-Players present a unique, top-class games spectacle. Cologne celebrates the games in the entertainment area at the exhibition center and in the city.
